Asus has completely redefined its extremely popular G series of gaming laptops with the launch of new processors from Intel, which are then integrated with Nvidia’s RTX 4070 graphics, to ensure a quality gaming experience. The Asus ROG Zephyrus GU605MI device is powered by Core Ultra 9, which means that it also comes with all the AI goodness that Intel has incorporated in its chips.

Design

The design has been uplifted from the previous ones to be more minimalistic. The performance ones are clocked at a rate of 2.3 GHz, which enables it to handle all sorts of modern-day operations. It is packed with 144 tensor cores that enable it to generate frames with the help of DLSS 3. This makes the Asus GU605MI provide a stable 60 FPS in high settings for the majority of games. Moreover, the 36 raytracing cores enable it to handle reflections in supported games.

Apart from that it comes supported with DirectX 12 Ultimate, Shader 6.7, OpenGL 4.6, OpenCL 3.0, and Vulkan 1.3 APIs.

Memory and Storage

The setup is configured with a dual channel memory configuration with an LPDDR5X onboard soldered memory setup which takes full advantage of the CPU by maximizing its transfer rate at 7467 MT/s and boards a capacity of 16 GB. This high transfer rate allows the system to handle all sorts of multitasking operations fluently.

The audio setup included, according to Asus claims to be the best-sounding system against every other Windows laptop, it integrates, Smart Amp Technology, with Dolby Atmos, AI noise-canceling technology, and is also Hi-Res certified for headphones. The audio output is carried by a 4-speaker (dual force woofer) system, and 2 Tweeters. It is also accompanied by a Built-in 3-microphone array.
